What's included
Our fence prices are all-in. When you get a number from us, it includes:
- Utility locates requested through Ontario One Call before any digging
- Post holes dug 4 ft deep, below the frost line
- 6x6 pressure-treated posts set in concrete, 8 ft apart
- Rails, boards, caps and trim for the package you choose
- Hardware, and gates built and hung to match (gates are priced per gate)
- Cleanup of the work area when we finish
Old fence removal and haul-away is available for $5/ft ($200 minimum).
How a fence installation works
- Instant estimate. Pick a style and package in the fence cost calculator and send it to us, or request an estimate.
- Free site visit. We measure the fence line, check slope and access, mark gate locations, and confirm the height rules for your lot. Your price is locked in.
- Locates. We request utility locates through Ontario One Call. Nothing gets dug until the lines are marked.
- Removal. If there's an old fence, we take it down and haul it away.
- Posts. Holes are dug 4 ft deep and 6x6 posts are set in concrete, square and plumb.
- Build. Rails, boards, caps and gates go on, following your property line and grade.
- Walkthrough. We clean up, check every gate swings and latches properly, and walk the fence with you.

Height limits and property lines
Every municipality sets its own fence rules. In London, residential fences can be up to 7 ft tall, and fences near corners and driveways are limited to 3 ft inside the sight triangles. Fence installation questions
How long does a fence installation take?
Most backyard fences take one to a few days on site, depending on the length, the number of gates and how easy the yard is to get into. Concrete needs time to set before boards go on, so posts and boards are sometimes done on different days. We give you a timeline with your quote.
Do you remove the old fence?
Yes. Removal and haul-away is $5/ft with a $200 minimum. Posts set in large concrete footings can take extra work, which we confirm on site.
Who is responsible for knowing where the property line is?
You are, as the owner, but we help. We build where you show us, so if you are not sure where the line is, a property survey is the only reliable way to know. We recommend building slightly inside your line if there is any doubt.
Can you build on a sloped yard?
Yes. Wood fences are usually stepped down a slope section by section so the top stays level. The calculator shows your base price, and any extra for stepped sections or longer posts is confirmed at the site visit.
What warranty do you give?
Every build has a workmanship warranty: 1 year on Economy, 3 years on Standard and board-on-board, and 5 years on Premium. It covers our workmanship under normal conditions. It does not cover damage from severe weather such as high winds, storms, tornadoes or fallen trees, impact, animals, changes made by others, or natural wood movement like checking, warping and colour change.
